Habip Koçak

Habip Koçak is an independent documentary photographer and visual storyteller based in Oxford England. His work is deeply rooted in humanistic observation, focusing on social movements, collective memory, and the nuanced realities of daily life.

With a keen eye for unscripted moments, Koçak explores the intersections of public space and personal history. His practice ranges from the raw intensity of photojournalism and protests to the silent intimacy of portraits. Through his lens, he seeks to document the resilience of the human spirit and the evolving narratives of modern society.

Beyond commissioned assignments, Koçak is dedicated to long-term documentary projects and publishing photobooks that serve as visual archives for future generations.

Habip is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society (FRPS) and a member of the Centre for British Documentary Photography and the Oxford Photographic Society (OPS). He is also the co-founder of the Iz Dusum Documentary Collective and a member of the OX1 Collective.
